Privacy Policy & Data Security
At bunkattendancecalculator.in, your academic privacy is our top priority. We engineered our platform from the ground up so that your attendance records, course numbers, and safe bunk calculations never leave your device.
⚡ Quick Privacy Summary
All attendance math runs strictly inside JavaScript in your web browser. No calculation data is transmitted to an external server.
Subject presets and timetables are saved locally in your device's HTML5 LocalStorage. Clearing browser data removes all stored history.
We never require registration, email signups, student ID numbers, or logins to use any of our core attendance tools.
01. Zero Server-Side Data Storage
When you input your total classes attended, total classes conducted, or target attendance percentage (such as 75%, 80%, or 85%), these values are processed purely in client-side memory using JavaScript.
We do not operate backend database servers that store individual student attendance figures, college names, or class schedules. Your academic records remain strictly on your own device.
02. Use of HTML5 Local Storage
To enhance user experience and prevent you from re-entering your subjects and attendance numbers every time you revisit the site, Bunk Attendance Calculator utilizes standard web browser LocalStorage.
- Subject Presets: Names of courses, attended classes, and total classes.
- Weekly Timetable: Class schedule configuration for simulator forecasts.
- App Preferences: Selected dark/light color themes.
Note: You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data or clicking "Reset Presets" in the application interface.
03. Cookies & Web Analytics
We may use non-identifying aggregate web analytics (such as Google Analytics or Privacy-focused telemetry) to understand overall visitor metrics, such as page load speed, popular web browsers, and device screen sizes.
These analytics tools collect anonymized IP addresses and technical browser properties solely to optimize application performance and responsive design. They do not correlate with your specific attendance figures.
04. Third-Party Services & Advertising
To keep this attendance planning platform 100% free for all students, we may display third-party advertisements provided by networks like Google AdSense.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to website domain. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings (google.com/settings/ads).
05. Student Data Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Under privacy legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users have the right to access, rectify, or erase their personal data.
Because we do not store personal student data on our infrastructure, you maintain full physical control over your data directly within your web browser settings.
06. Children & Student Information Safety
Our service is intended for high school and university students. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe any such data has been collected, please notify us immediately for swift removal.
07. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in web standards, legal regulations, or new application features. Any modifications will be updated on this page with a revised effective date.
